The first of two videos on how to play the song, "Darcy Farrow." Tom Campbell and Steve Gillette wrote the song in 1964. It has been recorded by John Denver, Ian & Sylvia, Nanci Griffith, Townes Van Zandt and Jimmy Dale Gilmore among many others.

How to play Darcy Farrow Lesson 2

The second of two videos on how to play the song, "Darcy Farrow." This video concentrates on the finger patterns and picking sequences of the right hand in playing the song.

Steve Gillette - Corrina

Steve's version of the classic blues song, "Corrina." This version is adapted from the guitar arrangement by Bruce Langhorne. Bruce played on Steve's first album recorded at the Vanguard studios in New York in January of 1968. You can also hear Bruce Langhorne on recordings by Odetta, Tom Rush, Bob Dylan, Peter, Paul and Mary, and Gordon Lightfoot. Some of the visual elements of the video are from hand-painted postcards from the first decade of the twentieth century. (Live audio recording from 1991 available on "Live In Concert" CD).

The music is "Buddy and Carol's Waltz" written by Brian Cutean, Steve Gillette, Donna Henschell and Kelly Mulholland for the marriage of two old friends. Pete Sutherland arranged the music and played piano and fiddle. Scott Petito played bass, Steve Gillette, guitar, and Cindy Mangsen, concertina. Published on Dec 20, 2012 Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen perform a song from their 2006 CD, "Being There." With guitar and concertina they play a medley of Irish and Scottish tunes comprised of "Behind the Bush In the Garden," "Galway Hornpipe" "Flowers of Edinburgh." They call it "The Garden Medley." Video footage is from a recent visit to the falls.
